Both boys now know that if there is an uncomfortable situation they find themselves in outside of the house, all they need to do is call me or hubby. "Am I supposed to be home right now to walk the dog?" they should ask. The answer will always be yes, and we will come right over by car to pick up.

And it goes without saying, there are now rules at home, both spoken and unspoken.
