Let the week end begin! Just came home from the closing of our refinance. We got an exceedingly good deal. Paid no NY mortgage tax by staying with the same company and received a much lower rate for half the time. We are really happy about this. (By the way, if you're shopping around, HSBC has some of the lowest fees and some of the most powerful incentives to stay with them. They are also not in the business of selling their mortgages and this behavior matters to me.) Dog goes to violin student in the morning and we are off to see my sister in DC. Only problem is I have been limping and my hip really hurts. For what reason I don't know.

Tonight we got into the car after closing. I shut the door and looked at my husband to figure out why he hadn't started the car. I found my husband staring at me. Did I just see you lift your leg into the car?

Did I really just lift my leg into the car? I wondered. Look, I rolled my eyes, if I somehow caught Belac's vasculitis, it will be over in 4-6 weeks. Maybe it's arthritis, my mom used to complain of that when it rained too much. Or maybe this is what happens when you suddenly don't run for 3 days, I shrugged, it's fine, don't worry about it!

We're going to DC, I'm not discussing it! We'll take the trolley tour, we'll hang out with my sister, I'll take it easy.

He started the car and didn't say a thing, but I know why. My sister is a medical doctor and we're seeing her tomorrow.
