Can't get in touch with my older sis, a doctor in DC, or my cousin, doctor in NC, or my other cousin, doctor in LA, and now there is talk about airlifting my dad to NC, who continues to bleed....
My dad, a doctor, doesn't want to go and thinks he'll be okay... for god's sake, I need a doctor to talk to. Now calling Alyssa, childhood friend in CT, also unreachable.... I am txting everyone, emailing everyone with SUBJ: Emergency, calling, calling spouses, can't reach anyone! Hubby asks, should I come home? But what would that do? I need my relatives to weigh in who understand this bleeding and people who could talk to the doctors in this tiny hospital in TN. Where is everyone for God's sake??
Ok - Thank God. My cousin in NC has just spoken to the ER doctor. It was her first call after receiving the messages and getting out of her own OR. She's now looking for a doctor in Asheville and they're tentatively planning to airlift. Sister in DC just called to tell me she is heading out tonight to wherever they are.
I don't pray. But today I'm praying. Btw. Yay! for family.
